Signups for Winter Sports are now open and registrations will be accepted through Wednesday, October 25th. This includes boys and girls basketball for grades 4-8.
Registration is available online via the St. Timothy athletics website at www.sttimsports.org. Register for an account or login to your existing account using the buttons in the top right corner of the page. We will also accept payment via check but your child needs to be registered at sttimsports.org. Parent consent forms will be collected at the first practice.
Team formation will begin on October 26 and any signup after that date will need to be approved and will be subject to a $25.00 late fee.

This fun run benefits St. Timothy Home and School Association. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to this fun race that loops around the Big Meadows area in beautiful Highbanks Metro Park. Paths are paved and packed gravel. All participants will receive a chip-generated finishing time with individual, age group, and overall placing.
All Participants age 10 and under will get an award. Winners in each of the following categories will earn an award:
- 11-14 gender winner
- 15-20 gender winner
- 21-30 gender winner
- 31-40 gender winner
- 40+ gender winner

The Seder Meal: A Holy Week Tradition at St. Timothy School
On Wednesday, April 12, our pastor Father Timothy Hayes will preside over a Seder Meal with all students in grades 5 - 8. This is a Holy Week tradition here at St. Timothy School. All students in grades 5- 8 must buy lunch on 4/12. All students in kindergarten through grade 4 must bring a packed lunch.
Here's some information about Seder from CatholicCulture.org:
In the Christian tradition, the Passover Seder is ... believed to be when Jesus instituted the Eucharist. Gathered around the supper table with his disciples, Jesus told them, "I have longed to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; because, I tell you, I shall not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
Then, taking a cup, he gave thanks and said, 'Take this and share it among you, because from now on, I tell you, I shall not drink wine until the kingdom of God comes'.
Then he took some bread, and when he had given thanks, broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body which will be given for you; do this as a memorial of me'. He did the same with the cup after supper, and said, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood which will be poured out for you.'" (Luke 22:15-20)
This Christian observance of this ritual meal celebrates not only our tradition of Christ's last supper but our own Jewish heritage which provided the context for Jesus' institution at the last supper.

Make Change, Change Lives: Student-led Initiative Benefits Ronald McDonald House
LOVE AND SERVE
Here at St. Timothy School, our motto guides all that we do. Every day, we strive to "live in faith; love and serve; and learn for life." St. Timothy students, guided by the Home & School Association, recently participated in "Make Change, Change Lives," a service project to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Columbus. Led by Mrs. Katie Purcell of the Home & School Association, St. Timothy students learned about this amazing local organization, voted upon a goal, and worked together to help the RMHC make a difference for families in their time of need.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio
For more than thirty years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC) has provided a home-away-from-home for families with children who are hospitalized or undergoing surgery, primarily at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. With 137 guest rooms, the Columbus Ronald McDonald House is the largest in the world.
Mrs. Purcell met with students in each class at St. Timothy School, and introduced them to the Ronald McDonald House Charities with a short presentation and a video telling the story of one of the families touched by this organization. The care and concern expressed by our students was beautiful and touching. They expressed empathy for families with lives and situations very different from their own, and were inspired to make a difference for the families staying at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House.
Election Day with a Twist - St. Timothy Students Vote For a Fundraising Goal
As a non-profit organization, the RMHC depends on the generosity of the community to help families in their times of need. They have a long wish list of items needed!
On election day, St. Timothy students cast their vote for one of the items needed by RMHC, and pledged to raise funds to purchase the winning item.
The students voted during the lunch period on election day, and the ballots were tallied. The Pack N Play was the clear winner of our election with more than 50% of the votes.
Following our election, all students - even those who voted for another item - began raising funds to purchase the Pack N Play for The Ronald McDonald House.

- Cleaning Supplies (109 votes, 42.4%)
- High Chair (16 votes, 6.2%)
Make Change, Change Lives
Students, inspired by their new awareness of the Ronald McDonald House and empowered by their participation in setting the fundraising goal, began collecting change to purchase the Pack N Play. Students brought in money from their piggy banks, did extra jobs to earn money, and asked parents and friends for donations.
In just two weeks, St. Timothy School students collected more than $310 in change! As a result, St. Timothy School was able to purchase not only the Pack N Play, but also the high chair and the cleaning supplies!
ST. TIMOTHY OPEN HOUSE JANUARY 8
New families are invited to join us on Sunday, January 8 at 1:15pm for an Open House. Gather in the school library to meet Principal George Mosholder, tour our campus, and learn more about St. Timothy School. While this event is geared toward families with children entering full-day kindergarten or first grade in 2017/2018, all are welcome. We do have a few openings for new students in grades 2- 8.

High School Open Houses
Students and their families are invited to attend open houses at St. Charles and Bishop Watterson to learn more about options for continuing their Catholic education in high school.
St. Charles Preparatory School will hold its annual Open House for all eighth-grade boys and their parents on Sunday, November 6, 2016. The main program will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the school’s Robert C. Walter Student Commons at 2010 East Broad Street in Bexley. Afterward there will be an opportunity to speak with faculty members, coaches, students, alumni, and advisory board members. School and campus tours will be conducted and refreshments served.

Bishop Watterson High School prepares students to live out the Gospel message of Jesus Christ beyond high school through our focus on faith, academics, service, athletics, and co-curricular activities. Terra Nova Testing October 17th - 21st
Students in grades 3-8 will be taking the Terra Nova tests next week. Please have your children here at school on time, well-rested, and well-fed so they are at their best and ready to begin testing on time. Children are asked to bring #2 pencils with erasers. Teachers will advise about the snack policy for each grade.
